With the advent of the digital economy, data, as a critical production element, has become a new engine for driving enterprise competitiveness. This paper takes China's SRDI enterprises from 2013 to 2024as the research object to empirically test the impact of data elements on the competitiveness of SRDI enterprises. The study finds that data elements improve the competitiveness of SRDI enterprises, and the conclusions continue to hold after a series of robustness tests. This paper expands the research related to the influence of data elements on the competitiveness of SRDI enterprises and provides experience for promoting their competitiveness.
