A Study on the Influence of Educational Expectations and Parental Psychological Control on Student Burnout Among Middle School Students

This study employed the Parental Psychological Control Scale, the Parental Educational Expectations Questionnaire, and the Student Burnout Scale to conduct a survey among middle school students from a school in Beijing. Independent sample t-tests and correlation analyses were used to examine the influence of parental educational expectations and parental psychological control on student burnout. The results revealed that both parental psychological control and parental educational expectations significantly and positively predicted student burnout. This study provides empirical evidence from the perspective of family education for alleviating student burnout among middle school students.
