Abstract

In recent years, English occupies a central position in facilitating cross-cultural exchanges. Students majoring in English at domestic universities represent the primary cohort for future cross-cultural engagement; thus, the development of their cross-cultural communication abilities is of paramount importance. Nevertheless, current deficiencies persist among these students, including limited comprehension of diverse cultural contexts and the inadequate application of cross-cultural communication strategies. Such shortcomings not only impede students’ capacity for effective international communication but also constrain China’s cultural dissemination and the enhancement of its global influence within the framework of globalization.
