Analysis of the Practical Application and Effectiveness of Blended Online-Offline Teaching Models in Medical Education

In the context of the Education Informatization 2.0 era, technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and virtual simulation are rapidly penetrating the field of education, prompting a paradigm shift in medical education from knowledge transmission to competency cultivation. Currently, the traditional single-mode lecture-based approach reveals limitations in addressing the dynamic updates of pathological mechanisms and the highly practical nature of clinical skills in medical disciplines, including a lack of practical scenarios and insufficient personalized guidance. Meanwhile, China’s “Healthy China” strategy requires medical professionals to possess solid foundational knowledge, robust practical skills, and strong innovation capabilities—demands that the traditional model can no longer meet. The blended online-offline teaching model integrates digital tools such as MOOCs and virtual labs with traditional practices like bedside teaching and simulation training, overcoming spatiotemporal limitations to enable ubiquitous learning while enhancing clinical reasoning through hands-on practice. This model has emerged as a key breakthrough in medical education reform. An in-depth analysis of its practical effects in course design, resource integration, and evaluation feedback is of great significance for building a medical education system that meets the needs of the new era.
